Kanchanjunga Short Trek

Trip Overview

Embark on an unforgettable journey through one of Nepal’s most remote and pristine trekking routes with Kora Quest Adventure. The Kanchenjunga Trek takes you deep into the eastern Himalayas, starting with a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Bhadrapur, followed by a beautiful drive to Taplejung—the trailhead of this epic adventure.

The trek winds through unspoiled valleys and ancient forests, passing through traditional villages like Sekathum, Amjilosa, Gyabla, and Ghunsa. Along the way, you’ll experience the warm hospitality of the Limbu, Rai, and Sherpa communities, whose rich cultures and ancient traditions still thrive in these highlands. Monasteries decorated with colorful prayer flags, mani walls, and spinning prayer wheels line the trail, offering moments of spiritual calm.

As you ascend, the landscape transforms from green hills to dramatic alpine terrain. You’ll pass through high-altitude settlements like Lhonak before reaching the awe-inspiring Kanchenjunga North Base Camp at Pangpema (5,140m), where the mighty Kanchenjunga (8,586m)—the world’s third-highest peak—rises before you in all its glory.

This trek is a rare opportunity to explore one of Nepal’s most untouched corners, far from the crowds. With Kora Quest Adventure, you’re not just trekking—you’re immersing yourself in a deeply cultural and naturally stunning journey, led by experienced local guides who know the land and its stories.
