Everest Base Camp & Gokyo Lake Trek

Trip Overview

Embark on an unforgettable Himalayan journey with Kora Quest Adventure as you trek to Everest Base Camp via the breathtaking Gokyo Lakes. Your adventure begins with a scenic and adrenaline-pumping flight into Lukla (2,860m), known as one of the most adventurous airports in the world, surrounded by towering peaks.

The trail winds through the heart of the Khumbu region, bringing you to Namche Bazaar (3,440m), a bustling Sherpa hub rich with culture, color, and spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. As you ascend, you’ll visit the traditional villages of Khumjung and Khunde, nestled beneath snow-capped peaks, where ancient monasteries, friendly locals, and sweeping landscapes create a peaceful, authentic Himalayan atmosphere.

The trek continues to the serene turquoise waters of Gokyo Lakes (4,700m), a sacred and surreal collection of glacial lakes beneath Cho Oyu (8,188m). Climbing Gokyo Ri (5,357m) offers an unmatched view of Everest and neighboring giants.

Crossing the high and icy Chola Pass (5,420m), you rejoin the classic route to Everest Base Camp (5,364m), where the immense Khumbu Icefall looms ahead. The ultimate viewpoint comes at Kala Patthar (5,545m), where sunrise unveils a breathtaking panorama of Mount Everest (8,848.86m), Lhotse (8,516m), Nuptse (7,861m), and the stunning Ama Dablam (6,812m).

With Kora Quest Adventure, this trek is not just a journey—it's a life-changing experience through the world’s most iconic mountain landscape.
